It's all about YOU, how you FEEL and how you LOOK

Have you, like me, indulged in extra chocolate, Eggnog, Christmas Cake, and many other goodies and drinks, over the last few weeks?

It is so easy to feel bloated and uncomfortable. How does your skin feel, is it dry?

 If we are really honest with ourselves, over indulgence does make a change to the way we feel and look.

 Your body is quite capable of removing toxic waste. However when we over indulge, along with environmental factors, some help is appreciated. Yes, there are many products available for retail, quick fixes promising everything you want.

It's called the Yo-Yo plan. $$

 So what can you do?

Put your health at the top of your New Year's List.

What would it feel like to enjoy a year of health and vitality?

 I’m sorry, folks, there is only one way to remove toxins and waste products from your body, SAFELY and that is through Hydration, Nutrition, Stress Relief, and Activity on a daily basis.

 Over the next few weeks I will talk more about each of these areas. For now though, take one suggestion from each of the following. You choose which one.

 Hydrate  - How much - Take your body weight, divide it in half; this is the number of ounces your unique body needs of water/clear fluids per day.

  • Average 8 (250 mls) x glasses of water per day.
  • Herbal Tea, Green tea, Total Tea, Hot water, with no added milk or sugar.
  • Don’t like the taste of water, I have some great tasting additives which help build your immune system, joints or replenish electrolytes, and still allow your water to be considered clear fluids.

Nutrition – Protein, Fats and Carbohydrates, we need them all. Concentrate on Fruits & Veggies, Grains, Nuts, Fish.

  • 10 portions of Fruits and Veggies per day
  • Add a fruit for a mid morning or afternoon snack
  • Have a fruit smoothie for breakfast or lunch

 

Stress relief – Have you ever felt tense, or anxious, do you find your neck and back tightening up? When you feel like this on the outside, your body is already stressed. Stress prevents your body from functioning to its full potential allowing disease and discomfort to take place. Take time out to enjoy one of the following:

  • Aromatherapy Massage
  • Aroma-Reflexology
  • Aromatherapy Spa Facial - for men and women
  • Reiki Session
  • Relax with a unique blend of Essential Oils in a bath, or use as a lotion, cream, or room atomiser.

 Activity – 30 minutes a day of activity, this can be taken in 10-minute increments.

  • Walk around the block at lunchtime.
  • Walk up the stairs.
  • Stretch frequently if you sit at a desk most of the day.
  • Having some small weights that can be used sitting at your desk also helps.
  • Joining a gym or exercise class is good, but leading a healthy life does not have to cost $$
